The Beginning

In short, Overland Gear Guy was created after spending lots of time off the grid and experiencing the frustration of "where did we pack ________?" game. Ain't nobody got time to be frustrated and stressed out when we're overlanding.

Rewind a few decades. The same year Home Alone hit movie theaters, Rob Daugherty finally got fed up with the lack of quality, customizable products available. After a trip to the local Walmart, what began as making gear for himself quickly snowballed into manufacturing custom tactical gear for all U.S. military branches, Homeland Security, TSA, FBI, CIA, DoD, SWAT teams, police departments across the country. Over the next few decades, new lines have been added to the lineup.
